A Trip Around India, from Taiwan

My grandmother

Many years ago.

The sun was peeking through the clouds on a perfect summer day, what a way to start this adventure. After arriving in Delhi, India my grandmother was ready to set out on one of the greatest trips of her life. This was the Palace on Wheels a luxury train going around India making stops at Delhi, Jaipur, Sawai Madhoper, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jasailmer, Jodhpur, Bahratpur, Agra than finally returning to Delhi. Stepping into her carriage was similar to entering a whole new world, the bedframe was imbedded with gold, the interior was decorated in a way where it just screamed luxury.

Whilst the train was on its sensational journey, the passengers would get off at each station to indulge in the amazing experiences the Palace on Wheels offered, each adventure more exciting as the last. Over the course of one week my grandmother had done it all, she had witnessed elephant polo(very interesting), rode a camel, and had enjoyed countless tasty dishes. The wind blowing in her hair as she dashed across the sand riding atop a majestic camel, the unforgettable match of elephant polo(search it up) she had attended with thousands of other fans. And the delicious Indian food that still appears in her dreams to this day. The Palace on Wheels truly was an unforgettable experience.
